Dr. Richard Lindwall D.C., known to his patients as Dr. Rick, is a 1983 graduate of the University of California at Irvine with a B.S. in Biology. He graduated in 1986 from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, now renamed the Southern California University of Health Sciences. His honors include graduating summa cum laude as well as the Delta Sigma Honorary Honors Scholastic Society.
He is certified by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego (www.srisd.com) for the treatment of whiplash associated disorder and in Automobile Crash Forensic Risk Analysis. He also has advanced training in chiropractic pediatrics. He was the volunteer team chiropractor for the athletes of the local California university for many years.
He opened Southridge Chiropractic in 1991 when he and his family were living in the community and has been a presence in Southridge since 1987. His practice is family oriented with an emphasis on spinal wellness and how it relates to overall wellness. He has treated thousands of men, women and children ranging in age from the date of birth to well into the 90's. As he likes to point out, whatever you have he has probably seen it before, performing over 2 million adjustments in his career thus far.
With regard to community involvement, Dr. Rick organized the first Neighborhood Watch in Southridge acting as a liaison between the Fontana Police Department and the individual Neighborhood Watch Captains. In this capacity he organized and chaired quarterly community meetings helping to unite the community. He was made an honorary Girl Scout having sponsored a local troop for several years, aiding in cookie drives, blood drives, and other fund raising events. He was a Cub Scout Den Leader for Pack #567 for 5 years and then became an Assistant Scout Master of Troop #778 in charge of the high adventure outdoor program. For three years he was the booster club President of his daughter's high school softball team raising over $30,000 to build a new varsity field. He spent two years on the Boundary Review Committee for the Fontana Unified School District. Dr. Rick was a softball coach for Southridge Little League for five years, including managing their 11-12 year old All Star team to District and Section Titles. Finally, he was the Principal For The Day at Oak Park Elementary School in Southridge, an honorarium to thank him for his time, commitment, and devotion to the children of the school.
He has been married to his best friend since they were 19 and 18 years old, respectively. Diana is a School Psychologist. Together they have two children and three grandchildren. His daughter earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and is a college professor. His son has a B.S. in bio-medical engineering, a Masters in Business Administration, and is a law school graduate. And of his grandchildren...Dr. Rick would say..."They have my heart! I see them all the time and babysit them nearly every week."
As you can see from the photo Dr. Rick is an outdoorsman, loving hiking, skiing, and especially SCUBA diving, earning a Master Diver Certification. He volunteer dives for www.ReefCheck.org acting as a citizen scientist helping to monitor the health of our west coast reef habitat.

Elena has been with Dr. Rick since 2003. She is his lead chiropractic assistant (C.A.) running the front desk in the morning during patient hours as well as being in charge of billing and collections during non-patient hours. She is bilingual in Spanish.
Betty was a patient of Dr. Ricks for 13 years before sitting on the other side of the desk since 2013. She is Dr. Ricks chiropractic assistant (C.A.) running the front desk in the afternoon/evening hours.
Irene is a Certified Massage Therapist since 2009, specializing in sciatic nerve pain, acupressure, and deep tissue massage. She is trained and experienced in numerous massage techniques and has been working in the health care field since 1992. She is bilingual in Spanish.
