There have been many epidemics of fame through the years. The black plague killed a third of the occupants of Europe. The flu epidemic early in the 20th century resulted in the death of millions. The polio epidemic lasted over 30 years and killed or disabled millions. However, the subluxation epidemic has lasted since man was first born, afflicts everyone, and, believe it or not, is responsible for setting the stage for up to 95% of all diseases.
To some these may be a bold statement, but it is true and does require your attention. Read on.
There is little argument in all the scientific and historical literature that subluxation has been present from the beginning. Since man went through the birth canal and stood upright, effects of gravity have begun to erode the spine. Falls, injuries, manual labor, and other stresses cause the spinal discs, ligaments, muscles, and tendons to stretch and tear, allowing vertebral misalignment and malfunction to occur. This sometimes begins with the birth process, but certainly has happened many times by the time the teen years hit. Virtually 100% of teenagers will have subluxation in their spine. Subluxation IS NOT a condition of adulthood, it is just that in adulthood that most symptoms begin. Subluxation IS a condition of childhood, and like it or not, that is just the way it is and all children should be checked for subluxation. But let’s move on to the big issue.
Subluxation is responsible for up to 95% of all diseases. Quite a statement, isn’t it?
I thought disease came from germs, you say. The germ theory of disease. Let’s get rid of this old wife’s tale first. Yes, there are germs but they don’t cause disease. All germs are opportunistic. This means that in order for a germ to get hold of you, you have to be weakened in some way in the first place. Researchers have taken mucous from the nose of people with colds and placed them directly on the mucous membranes of healthy people. Only about 12% of the test subjects get a cold. Why? Because the other 78% are healthy! They don’t have tissue cells in their body that are sick enough for the cold viruses to get a hold of. In other words, you have to be sick first to get sick. This is true. To look at it in a different manner, rats don’t create a dump, they are attracted to the dump. Germs do not create disease, they are attracted to diseased tissue. If you are sick, you cannot blame your co-workers, it is your own fault.
So, if germs do not cause disease, what does? What weakens the body to allow it to get sick? The truth is that many things can weaken the body. Continued exposure to toxic chemicals or continued exposure to excessive stress are two fairly common weakening agents. Eating poor quality food, not getting enough quality rest, not getting enough quality exercise or entertaining too many negative thoughts and emotions can also weaken the body. We need to attend to these things for the sake of our current and future health and well being. However, there is a silent weakening agent and it is the subluxation.
The innate or inborn intelligence of the body knows exactly what to do every time with perfection to keep the body in balance and healthy. When we have subluxation, the body no longer functions at 100%. The cells that the pinched and/or irritated nerves travel to from the command centers of the brain cannot receive the proper information from the brain on what to do, how to function, or how to adapt to life’s stresses. The cells become weak. They are in a state of dis-ease. If you have enough of these sick cells or have them for long enough period of time, dis-ease can become disease. What kind of disease? All kinds.
With the exception of genetic diseases, I cannot think of a disease that cannot result from subluxation. One study by Henry Winsor, M.D. concluded that 95% of the 221 diseases he identified in 97 cadavers were traceable back to subluxation. Another study by Ronald Pero, Ph.D. found that people who are adjusted regularly over a period of 5 years have an immune system that functions 200% better than very healthy test subjects, 300% better than average test subjects, and 400% better than subjects with cancer. He said, “It is the only single event(chiropractic adjustments) that we have been able to find that produces these types of changes in human beings.” The specific area of the immune system that he studied was that part that is related to cancer prevention. So, as I say, from colds to cancer, the subluxation can play a decisive role in disease.
In conclusion, if you are interested in true health for yourself and your family, you must start with weekly life-giving subluxation check-ups and chiropractic adjustments. Of course you have to eat well, get plenty of rest, have a good attitude, work on your relationships, exercise regularly and everything else you know you should be doing. But if the spine and nerve system are off, or if your computer circuitry is crossed up, everything else is a distant second. Remember, it is easier to prevent than to correct. Don’t wait or don’t let your family wait for symptoms and disease to develop before starting chiropractic care. Make an appointment for them to have their spine checked. To correct the subluxation is to prevent the consequence of the subluxation
